MINING PEOPLE: Bellhaven Copper & Gold, Eastmain, Excellon, and McEwen Mining

Bellhaven Copper & Gold of Vancouver has asked Milagros (Millie) Paredes to take over the role of COO in addition to her current duties as president of the company. At the same time, Dr. Paul Zweng has been named CEO and chairman. Toronto-based Eastmain Resources has hired Carl Corriveau as exploration manager and Michel Leblanc as Clearwater senior project geoscientist. Drilling is to begin this week at the Clearwater gold-silver project in Quebec. Ben Pullinger will become VP geology at Toronto’s Excellon Resources effective mid-September 2016. He will take over from John Sullivan who is stepping into a consulting role. McEwen Mining of Toronto says Donald Brown will join the company on Aug. 29, 2016, as senior VP of projects. He recently held the same title at Glencore and before that was construction manager for Bechtel Mines and Metals.
