MINING PEOPLE: Cancana, Coalspur, Darnley Bay, and Woulfe Mining

Andrew Male is now president of Cancana Resources Corp. in Victoria, BC, as well as the company's CEO.

Coalspur Mines has named Richard Tremblay to the position of VP operations. He will be based in the company's Hinton, AB, office and will be responsible for bringing the nearby Vista coal project into production and running it. Tremblay has more than two decades of experience, including most recently with Teck Coal, as well as an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a BSc in chemical engineering from Queen's University.

The new president and CEO of Toronto-based Darnley Bay Resources is Jamie Levy. He has had a 20-year career in finance and venture capital firms.

Ned Goodman has been named to the board of Vancouver's Woulfe Mining Corp. He is president and CEO of Dundee Corporation as well as Goodman Investment Counsel. He is a geologist, a chartered financial analyst and a member of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. Goodman is a contributor to Canadian Mining Journal and is widely recognized as one of Canada's most prominent and successful mining sector financiers.
