Great Quest Metals of Vancouver has named Jed Richardson interim president and CEO. He has been a director of the company since 2010.

Vancouver's Kaminak Gold Corp. has named Eira Thomas president and CEO to succeed Rob Carpenter on March 1, 2013. Thomas is a Canadian geologist whose career spans more than 20 years. She led the Aber Resources (now Harry Winston Diamond) field exploration team that discovered the Diavik diamond pipes in the Northwest Territories in 1994 and 1995. Diavik became Canada's second diamond mine when it went into production in 2003. Thomas is currently a director of a number of other public companies and organizations.

Sulliden Gold Corp. of Toronto has asked Justin Reid to join the company as president and a board member. Former president and CEO Peter Tagliamonte will replace his duties as president with those of executive chairman. Most recently Reid as managing director of global mining sales at National Bank Financial.

Gil Leathley is the new COO of Vancouver-based Sunward Resources. He will be responsible for all technical and operating aspects related to the Titiribi project in Colombia. He was recently senior VP and COO of NovaGold Resources.
