Vancouver-based Bellhaven Copper & Gold has named Patrick Highsmith CEO and director. He has degrees in geological engineering and geochemistry from the Colorado School of Mines and is the COO of Lithium One. Interim CEO Pal Szweng has stepped aside but with remain with the company as an advisor.

Copper North Mining of Vancouver has appointed Doug Ramsey as the company's new VP of sustainability and environmental affairs. He will manage environmental and permitting activities as well as assume responsibility for the development of co-operation agreements with First Nations. Ramsey brings 30 years experience in permitting and environmental assessment to the post.

Dr. John A. Thomas is joining Vancouver-based Edgewater Exploration as COO. His expertise includes both base and precious metals projects around the world.

Matamec Explorations of Montreal has recruited Bertho Caron to be is VP project development and construction. A mining engineering graduate of Laval University, he was the project manager for the Meadowbank and Meliadine gold mines in Nunavut.

Philip Ng is the new COO at Queenston Mining of Toronto. He is a veteran of Claude Resources, Inco and Hudson Bay Mining. He is the holder of both a bachelor of engineering degree and a master of engineering degree from McGill University. He will lead the development of Queenston's Upper Beaver gold project near Kirkland Lake, ON.
