Bob Buchan has become a director of Saskatoon-based Claude Resources. He and/or a charitable family trust has agreed to purchase 5 million units of the company.

 

Golden Predator Royalty and Development of Vancouver has named John Legg as its new president. He has been the company's executive VP since May 2009. The company also announced the appointment of Janet Lee as VP communications.

 

Toronto's Loncor Resources welcomes Peter Cowley as president and CEO. A former president of Banro Corp., he is a geologist with 40 years of international experience mainly in Africa.

 

Tom Dale has been named CEO of Platmin in Toronto, effective Dec. 1, 2009. The appointment follows the resignation of former CEO Ian Watson earlier this month. Brian Gilbertson will take over the duties of chairman on the same date.

 

Rockwell Diamonds of Vancouver has named Graham Chamberlain its COO, effective Nov. 1, 2009. He was a long-term employee of the Anglo American Group, and recently manager of Pamodzi Gold's East Rand operations.

 

Dr. Richard Grayston is the new president and CEO of Calgary-based Ruby Red Resources. In addition, he will retrain his responsibilities as CFO. Former president Gordon Turner resigned the top position to take on the role of VP exploration with the company.

 

The new exploration manager at Toronto's Trelawney Mining and Exploration is David Beilhartz. He will be in charge of the company's ventures in northern Ontario, specifically the Chester narrow vein gold project.
