Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines of Montreal has announced that Richard Quesnel has stepped down from his responsibilities as president, CEO and director of the company. Chairman Brian V. Tobin will take up those roles in the interim.

Gil Leathley is the new senior VP and COO at NovaGold of Vancouver. He has been senior advisor to the president of NovaGold since January 2010.

The new VP of Operations at Quest Rare Minerals of Toronto is Reno Pressacco. He holds a MSc from McGill University and has worked for over two decades in the industry.

Vancouver's Ridgemont Iron Ore Corp. has named Kenneth Brophy as VP of operations. He has extensive experience in the mining industry as was recently consultation lead for the Lower Churchill Project and worked with the environment and aboriginal team. Matt Simpson, COO of Alderon Resource Corp., has been named to the board.

Silver Predator, based in Vancouver, has appointed Corwin Coe its new CEO and president. He has over 30 years experience in the industry, including 25 with precious metals companies.
