ONTARIO - Toronto-based Ursa Major Minerals says that full commercial production has been reached at its Shakespeare nickel-copper mine since operations were resumed in June 2010. The mine is located 70 km west of Sudbury, and the ore is shipped to Xstrata Nickel's Strathcona mill for treatment.

Material shipped to the mill in May and June averaged 0.40% Ni, 0.45% Cu, 0.025% Co and 1.04 g/t precious metals. Ursa Major anticipates producing 1.1 million lb of nickel, 1.7 million lb of copper, 55,000 lb of cobalt and 3,100 oz of precious metals by the end of 2010.

Ursa Major is planning to use cash flow from production to fund exploration at its other properties including the past-producing Nickel Offsets project.
