New line to fill market gap left by legacy manufacturer

Tecweigh – a leading manufacturer of precision weighing and metering equipment – has launched its new line of high-accuracy belt scales designed for the demanding requirements of the mining industry, including mineral and coal applications.

The new HDS (Heavy-Duty S-Type Loadcell) Belt Scale series offers customers a rugged and reliable solution for replacing aging or unsupported equipment, especially after a major belt scale manufacturer unexpectedly exited the market in 2023. Tecweigh designed the HDS for durability and precision, featuring a full-floating scale frame supported by four S-Type load cells and available in 1-4 idler configurations.

Tecweigh equipped each HDS belt scale with onboard static calibration weights, which operators can safely engage or disengage during conveyor operation to maximize efficiency without sacrificing safety or accuracy.

Manufactured entirely at Tecweigh’s headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, the new HDS line continues the company’s 50-year legacy of innovation in bulk material handling solutions.
