Apollo Nora Advisors, a Toronto-based advisory firm, has appointed Jean-Pierre Colin as its new vice-chair.
In this position, Colin will oversee Apollo’s full-platform push into public and private markets, with a focus on the global mining sector and Quebec-based investors. The news follows the firm’s previous announcement of research initiative into the global graphite industry in partnership with Quebec-based E-Power Resources (CSE: EPR).
Colin joins with 45-years of experience in the securities industry. He previously served in corporate secretary and CFO roles for listed companies and on several company boards. In his previous career as a lawyer, he advised regulators on securities legislation, including Mining NI 43-101 disclosure standards.
Jonathan Pinto, Apollo’s CEO and founder, said Colin’s arrival propels the firm forward. “His creative financing, mergers and acquisitions, and marketing expertise greatly strengthens everything we implement for our clients as Apollo pushes deeper into investor relations, governance and proxy solicitation, especially in the mining sector.”
Colin added that he is “delighted to help” Pinto and his team extend their investor reach. “This represents a compelling growth trajectory that aligns perfectly with my professional focus.”
The appointment is effective immediately.
