The NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines have just announced an investment of $485,000 with the Paulatuk Development Corporation to enable them to purchase a movable exploration camp which can be leased to mining exploration companies.
John Kearney, Executive Director of the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines said “It is great to see northern communities supporting mineral exploration in such an innovative way, since exploration is the most important first step required in finding a mine. We applaud the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor) and the hamlet of Paulatuk for this project.”
The Paulatuk camp consists of a movable 20-person set-up.
