COURTENAY, BC - The British Columbia Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation (TRCR) has named Alpha Gold of Coquitlam, BC, the winner of the 2009 Mineral Exploration Citation for outstanding achievement in reclamation at the company's Lustdust property in the north-central part of the province. The presentation was made at the 34th Annual Reclamation Awards banquet on Sept. 22, 2010.

Other reclamation award winners were Lehigh Materials for the Sechelt mine, Northgate Minerals for work at its Kemess South mine, Teck Coal for its Elkview operations, and CertainTeed Gypsum Canada for its Windermere mining operations.

The award recipients were chosen by a committee that includes a representative from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, Ministry of Environment, Mining Association of BC, and Thompson Rivers University, all of whom serve on the British Columbia Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation that hosted the awards.
