ONTARIO - Probe Mines of Toronto has released the first resource estimate for the Black Creek chromite deposit it discovered in 2009. The measured and indicated tonnage is 5.7 million tonnes at 40.0% Cr2O3 with a chrome-to-iron ratio of 1.8:1.0. The inferred resource is an additional 2.7 million tonnes at 41.0% Cr2O3.

The company will continue drilling at Black Creek to define the deposit along strike and its continuity down dip to a depth of 400 metres.

The Black Creek discovery is located in the James Bay Lowlands near McFauld's Lake in what is called the Ring of Fire. It lies between the Black Thor and Big Daddy deposits.
