COAL DEVELOPMENT: Permit granted for new underground No.12 South B2 mine

ALBERTA - Grande Cache Coal of Calgary has received the amended mine permit and a new licence for development of the new No.12 South B2 underground coal mine in the western part of the province. The permit was granted by the Alberta Energy and Resource Conservation Board (ERCB).

Grande Cache has a target date of Q3 fiscal 2012 (its fiscal year begins in October 1, 2011). The estimated resource base at No.12 South B2 is 12.3 million tonnes of metallurgical coal.
