NORTHWEST TERRITORIES – Vancouver-based Tyhee Gold Corp. has released its social responsibility statement related to the development of the Yellowknife gold project 90 km north of the town of the same name. The company says it is committed to doing business in a manner that is beneficial to the indigenous people within whose area it operates as well as society in general.

Hugh Wilson, Tyhee’s VP of environment and community affairs for Tyhee NWT Corp. stated, "Tyhee has already established good working relationships within the region … we have reached a stage at which it was appropriate to formalize our commitment to social responsibility. This document not only reflects our values, but it also provides clear guidance for all of Tyhee's management, employees and contractors as we continue to move the Yellowknife gold project forward."
