SOUTH AFRICA – Diamcor Mining of Kelowna, BC,  has sold a gem quality octahedron diamond weighing 91.72 ct for US$817,920 or almost $9,000 per carat. The diamond was part of a sale that totaled 2,654.63 carats or rough diamonds, generating total proceeds of $1.15 million for the company.

The remarkable diamond came from the company's Krone-Endora at Venetia project in Limpopo state. It was recovered while processing kimberlite from ongoing testing and commissioning on low grade, upper zone material.
