DIAMONDS: Stornoway updates resources at Renard project

QUEBEC – Stornoway Diamond Corp. of Montreal has released an update of the Renard diamond project mineral resource estimate. The project is located 350 km north of Chibougamau in the James Bay region.

QUEBEC – Stornoway Diamond Corp. of Montreal has released an update of the Renard diamond project mineral resource estimate. The project is located 350 km north of Chibougamau in the James Bay region.

Stornoway has increased by indicated resource at Renard 2 by 16% to 21.6 million ct by converting inferred material to a depth of 700 metres. For the total project, the indicated resource is 30.2 million ct (including reserves). The mining plan has been revised to reflect the increase.

The company said there is substantial new exploration potential at both Renard 2 and 3. The kimberlites are interpreted to continue to 1,250 metres while retaining sizeable widths. Both remain open.
