LAKEFIELD, Ontario – SGS Canada is expanding its Lakefield facilities with the construction of a new 3,800-m3 laboratory.

Gerard O’Dell, the managing director from SGS Canada said, “Our business at Lakefield is known internationally as a key repository of metallurgical, geochemical and environmental expertise and thus a critical part of our 2014 growth plan. With this expansion, we are happy to say that we anticipate hiring at least 60 new staff, professionals that will continue to provide the high level of expertise that is associated with the Lakefield site.”

There are currently 475 SGS employees at Lakefield.
