NOVA SCOTIA – Acadian Mining Corp. of Halifax has released the maiden resource estimate for the Hudson zone at the Fifteen Mile Stream gold project 95 km northeast of Halifax. The Hudson zone, located 700 metres west of the Main zone, contains 75,000 oz in the inferred category or 1.44 million tonnes averaging 1.61 g/t Au.

The total inferred resource of both zones now stands a 7.44 million tonnes grading 1.6 g/t Au or 383,000 oz of gold using a 0.7 g/t Au cut-off. The company says that Fifteen Mile Stream has strong exploration potential along a strike length that may reach 3.0 km. Mineralization in the Hudson zone is largely confined to the same mineralized stratigraphic sequence defined in the Main zone.

Acadian plans more infill drilling for both and Hudson and Main zones in hopes of increasing resource confidence to the indicated category and to expand the mineralized area.
