GOLD: Banks Island suspends mining at Yellow Giant

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Banks Island Gold of Vancouver suspended mining at its Yellow Giant gold mine on Banks Island on July 31, 2015. The company says the property will remain on care and maintenance until permitting and regulatory issues are resolved and additional working capital can be raised.

The high grade Yellow Giant mine employed more than 100 people.
