(Image: Independence Gold)[/caption] BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-based Independence Gold Corp. has identified seven distinct gold-silver targets at its Merit property in the Spences Bridge gold belt. The company says the targets appear to be connected by structures identified by the recent property-wide ground magnetic survey. The best results from the survey were found in chalcedonic quartz veins with dark sulphide bands, indicating a low sulphidation epithermal style deposit. The survey, completed by DRM Exploration Services, suggests there exists a common fluid delivery system and the potential for increasing the target sizes with more work. The discoveries were sampled, and these are the highlights:
  • Sullivan Ridge zone – 700 by 300 metres, returned 9.50 g/t gold and 341 g/t silver;
  • West Discovery Hill zone – 600 by 400 metres, returned 2.39 g/t gold and 44.63 g/t silver;
  • Central zone – 400 by 200 metres, returned 6.71 g/t gold and 326 g/t silver;
  • South zone – 350 by 300 metres, returned 4.97 g/t gold (no silver);
  • Southwest target – 300 by 300 metres, returned 5.36 g/t gold and 26.59 g/t silver;
  • East target – 150 by 100 meters, returned 1.64 g/t gold; and
  • Southeast Central target – 50 by 45 metres, returned 0.87 g/t gold.
Independence intends to secure permits and community approvals to drill several of the targets next year. Please visit www.InGold.ca.
