ONTARIO – Mega Precious Metals of Thunder Bay, ON, is in the earliest stages of drilling at its Headway gold property in the Red Lake area, but already the company is encouraged by what its has found. Several similarities to Goldcorp's Red Lake gold operation were identified.

The company said deep drilling has confirmed the geological model. Hole MH1103 intersected altered and deformed Balmer Assemblage rocks of the same type as at Red Lake. The structure, style and intensity of alteration is similar to the HW shear and Kovala fault (HW 7 shear) associated with the High Grade zone (HGZ) at the Red Lake mine.

Mega is planning further drilling to test the down-dip potential of the structures that trend into a favourable geologic environment and may host "bonanza grade" mineralization.
