(Image: Monarques Gold Corp.)[/caption] QUEBEC – Montreal-based Monarques Gold Corp. plans to temporarily suspend mining at the Beaufor gold project on Dec. 14, 2018. The money-losing mine will be placed on care and maintenance. Monarques says it intends to continue exploration at Beaufor to follow up on the many high grade results from earlier this year.  The property is 20 km northeast of Val d’Or. The company will focus instead on its flagship Wasamac gold deposit about 15 km west of Rouyn-Noranda. This project has measured and indicated resources of 29.86 million tonnes grading 2.70 g/t gold and containing 2.6 million oz. A feasibility study is underway. Monarques also runs the Camflo custom mill, but operations there will not be affected by the Beaufor suspension. See the latest corporate presentation at www.MonarquesGold.com.
