ONTARIO – The latest resource estimate for the Bell Creek gold mine belonging to Lake Shore Gold of Toronto puts the total number of contained ounces at over 1.6 million. There are 4.7 million measured and indicated tonnes grading 4.72 g/t Au containing 710,300 oz of gold plus 6.1 million inferred tonnes at 4.62 g/t Au containing 903,700 oz of gold.

The 43-101 technical report, filed with SEDAR, outlines Lake Shore's plans to inject $15.25 million in capital expenses into Bell Creek this year. The budget includes $2.9 million for development and an equal amount for diamond drilling and geology. Sustaining capital will add up to $16.66 million for equipment purchases, ramp development, various underground projects such as a fuel bay, and waste rock haulage.

The Bell Creek mine produced 12,605 oz of gold in 2012 from 182,350 tonnes of ore grading 3.8 g/t Au.
