(Image: Omineca Mining and Metals)[/caption] BRITISH COLUMBIA – Omineca Mining and Metals of Saskatoon, Sask., is preparing to dewater the former Wingdam gold mine 45 km east of Quesnel at Barkerville. Preparations include grouting off the connection between the Wingdam and historic Sanderson mine. This will reduce water flow and speed dewatering to three or four weeks, rather than months. When dewatering is compete, Omineca will prepare the first underground area for ground freezing and bulk sampling will begin. The Wingdam project is a joint venture of Omineca, KR Investments and HCC Mining and Demolition. HCC will remove the bulk sample. Omineca has posted a video of the project at www.OminecaMiningAndMetals.com.
