ONTARIO – Thunder Bay, ON-based Premier Gold Mines says several high grade intercepts have been made during recent underground drilling at the Rahill-Bonanza joint venture. Red Lake Gold Mines is the operator and owns the balance of the project.

Exploration is expanding the high grade zones in a fold structure located immediately south and along the Red Lake gold mine trend. Drilling is being done from the tram drift that links Goldcorp's Red Lake gold mine complex and the Cochenour gold mine. The drift makes an excellent exploration platform.

Highlights from the Fold target include 36.3 g/t Au across 1.7 metres, 24.3 g/t over 0.7 metre, and 7.9 g/t over 4.4 metres in hole D36999. Holes drilled in the Fold have revealed arsenopyrite-rich, replacement style mineralization similar to producing zones in the Campbell and Red Lake mines.

In addition to the Fold target, several other holes drilled from the tram drift intersected gold mineralization and will be followed up in the future, said Premier.
