ONTARIO – Eleven of the 18 recent drill holes in the Intrepid zone show widths suggestive of open pit potential, according to Rainy River Resources of Toronto. The company has traced the Intrepid zone over a 335-metres strike lengths and down dip for 450 metres. The zone is part of the Rainy River gold project 80 km south of Kenora.

Near surface, drill hole NR121442 intersected 1.9 Au and 23.4 g/t Ag over 57.0 metres including 2.5 g/t Au and 27.7 g/t Ag over 36.0 metres. Hole NR121448, located 20 metres west of NR121442, intersected 1.8 g/t Au and 22.3 g/t Ag over 28.5 metres at the bedrock-overburden interface. Hole NR121446 intersected 2.9 g/t Au and 10.6 g/t Ag over 33.0 metres, 25 metres down dip of NR121448 and at a vertical depth of 79 metres. Other holes returned 8.4 g/t Au and 72.4 g/t Ag over 4.5 metres at a vertical depth of 400 metres and 7.5 g/t Au and 23.3 g/t Ag over 7.5 metres at a vertical depth of 205 metres.
