LABRADOR – Tata Steel Minerals Canada, has shipped its first trainload of direct shipping ore to the terminal in Sept-Iles, QC. The train of 164 cars, each carrying 100 tonnes of iron ore left the dry crushing and screening plant from Silver Yards on July 11.

TSMC is a joint venture of Calgary-based New Millennium Iron Corp. (20%) and India's Tata Steel (80%). Last year the joint venture shipped 300,000 tonnes of DSO.
