QUEBEC - Gravity separation tests conducted for Champion Minerals of Toronto on drill core samples from its Fire Lake North claims have produced a 65% iron concentrate. The company says the concentrate contained no contaminants outside of market specifications. The Fire Lake North claims are part of the Fermont property 250 km north of Port Cartier.

Champion collected the samples from 24 holes completed earlier this year. The samples include coarse grained massive specular hematite intersections that returned higher grades such as 38.3% total Fe over 197.8 meters, including an interval of 43.6% over 43.0 meters.

The Fermont project is a joint venture of Champion (82.5%) and Fancamp Exploration (17.5%) of Burnaby, BC.

Champion is preparing to take three bulk samples for additional metallurgical testing. See also www.ChampionMinerals.com.
