QUEBEC – RB Energy of Vancouver has been forced to suspend operations at the Quebec Lithium mine and mill 60 km north of Val d'Or. The company has been unable to securing financing to remain open.
All employees, other than those required to maintain the site, have been temporarily laid off.
Last month RB Energy said it hoped to raise at least $78 million to keep the doors open. It also mulled selling its Aguas Blanca mine in Chile.
