NEW BRUNSWICK – Buchans Minerals Corp. of Windsor, NS, and Minco plc have received initial drilling results – including 11.25% Mn over 113.85 metres – from their Woodstock manganese project near the town of the same name.

Minco is earning up to a 50% interest in the project from Canadian Manganese Co., a Buchans subsidiary. Minco will earn an initial 10% when phase one expenditures of $1.25 million to establish an inferred resource and conduct hydrometallurgical tests are complete. The historical resource (non-compliant) for the Plymouth deposit is 46.5 million tonnes averaging 10.9% Mn to a depth of 500 metres. Two other deposits on the property are thought to be of similar size and slightly lower grade.

A drill section map of the Plymouth south drill holes is posted at BuchansMinerals.com.
