MINING PEOPLE IN THE NEWS: BioteQ, Commander Resources, Frontline Gold and Peregrine Metals

BioteQ Environmental Technologies of Vancouver has announced the retirement of CEO Brad Marchant on June 30, 2011. Dr. David Kratochvil will add the duties of CEO to those he already carried out as president and COO.

The new VP exploration at Vancouver-based Commander Resources is Stephen Potts. His recent expertise is in the White Gold area of the Yukon, in British Columbia and northwest Ontario.

Frontline Gold of Halifax has added Hockey Hall of Fame member Darryl Sittler to its board of directors. He is also a director of other public and private mining companies.

Richard Leclerc has joined Peregrine Metals as president. A graduate of Laval University, he has held senior operating and development positions at several Canadian companies active in Latin America. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
