The new president and CEO of Bridgeport Ventures in Toronto is Shastri Ramnath. She spent the last eight years with FNX Mining and then with Quadra FNX. Ramnath is a geology graduate of the University of Manitoba and Rhodes University. She is also a candidate for an MBA at Athabasca University.

Gold Hawk Resources of Vancouver has chosen Kevin Drover, the company's president and CEO, to replace Gordon F. Bub as chairman. A 40-year industry veteran, Bub has resigned.

Vancouver-based Heatherdale Resources has named Patrick R. Smith to the role of president and CEO. Prior to joining Heatherdale, he served 35 years with the Rio Tinto's exploration group in Australia and London, U.K.

Ian Stewart is the new president and COO of Toronto-based Inspiration Mining. Randy Miller will remain with the company as chairman and CEO.

Plato Gold has asked Dr. Hugh Squair to join its board of directors in Toronto. He is a former senior employee with Falconbridge, Selection Trust Group, Newmont Exploration of Canada and has consulted for Kennecott Canada and Watts Griffis & McOuat.

Marcel Robillard is the new president of Puma Exploration headquartered in Rimouski, QC. He joined the company as a geologist in 2003 when it was founded. Former president Andre Proulx will continue to guide the company as chairman.

Vancouver-based Starcore International Mines has named Ralf Kleine to the role of president with responsibility for day-to-day operations of the San Martin gold-silver mine in Mexico. Robert Eadie is now executive chairman and CEO.
