Cameco Corp. of Saskatoon has promoted Ken Seitz to the role of senior VP marketing and business development, effective Jan. 1, 2011. He replaces George Assie, who is retiring at the end of this year.

David B. Clarke is the new president and CEO of Vancouver-based Canterra Minerals. He was the company's VP exploration for over 10 years. Former president Randy Turner is now executive chairman.

Rick Sproule of Toronto-based Crowflight Minerals, has been promoted to VP geology from the post of chief geologist for the Bucko Lake nickel mine. He is a graduate of Dalhousie University.

Nevada Copper, headquartered in Vancouver, has named Robert T. McKnight as executive VP. He is a 30-year veteran of the industry having held senior positions with Brascan, Wright Engineers, Cassiar Mining, Getty Resources, Total, Endeavour Financial, Pincock Allen & Holt, AMEC, Yukon Zinc and most recently, Selwyn Resources.

Toronto's Primero Mining has a new VP corporate development, David Sandison. He holds a BSc from the University of Toronto, an MBA from Queen's University, and has over 25 years of mining industry experience.

Mackenzie (Mac) Watson has agreed to act as an advisor to the management and board of Savant Explorations in Vancouver.

The new president and CEO of Toronto-based Viking Gold is Mark Edwards. He fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Dr. Robert Ginn in June 2010.
