Detour Gold Corp. of Toronto has named Pierre Beaudoin as senior VP of capital projects. He will oversee the Detour Lake project as it moves through the feasibility study and into development of an open pit operation.

Montreal's Richmont Mines has elected four new board members: Elaine Ellingham, A. Michel Lavigne, Sam Minzberg and Jean-Pierre Ouellet. The company's previous directors, H. Greg Chamandy, Denis Arcand, Rejean Houle, Rayald Vezina and president and CEO Martin Rivard, will all continue to sit on the board.

Newly formed, Vancouver-based Silver Predator will be headed by Louis A. Lepry, Jr., as its first president and CEO. The new company was created when Golden Predator, Strategic Metals and Rockhaven Resources contributed their silver assets to Platoro West Holdings, which has been renamed Silver Predator.

Nicholas Houghton is the new president and Jeff Giesbrecht is the new VP of corporate development at True North Gems of Vancouver. Former president Andrew Lee Smith will remain on the board with executive responsibilities.

Ventana Gold Corp. of Vancouver has named Blair Way to the role of VP project development. He was most recently project director for OceanaGold in the Philippines.
