Vancouver-based Douglas Lake Minerals has named Dr. Reyno Scheepers its new COO. One of his achievements in Tanzania was the investigation of the geology and technical aspects of the Merelani tanzanite deposit which eventually led to the listing of the first coloured gemstone company on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Encore Renaissance Resources of Vancouver has announced a new president and CEO, Matt Wayrynen. He was once the president and CEO of Bralorne Gold Mines.

Ken Chapple is the new president and CEO of Vancouver's Golden Touch Resources. Previously he was chief geologist for Union Resources for eight years during which time he supervised the discovery and exploration of the Mehdiabad zinc project in Iran.

Primero Mining of Toronto has named Renaud Adams as COO. The company's executive VP, Eduardo Luna, is retiring.

Michael Mutchler is now the COO at Rainy River Resources of Toronto. He was recently VP project development at Kinross Gold.

Ottawa-based Red Ore Gold has appointed Michael J. Zamora its new president. He is also president of Galahad Metals and Pueblo Lithium. Paul Pitman has stepped down from the role of president but will remain with Red Ore as a consulting geologist.
