Eira Thomas has joined the board of Dundee Precious Metals in Toronto. She Thomas graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Geology in 1990 and has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. She has held a number of senior positions, most recently, as chairman and director of Stornoway Diamond Corp., of which she was also a co-founder. Thomas has been honoured with a number of awards throughout her career, including "Canada's Top 40 under 40" by Caldwell Partners and the Report on Business Magazine in 2004 and "Top 100: Canada's Most Powerful Women" in 2007.

Vancouver-based International Tower Hill Mines has named Donald C. Ewigleben as president and CEO. Most recently he held the same posts at Uranium Resources. His 35 years of professional experience include employment at AngloGold Ashanti and Echo Bay Mines.

Monument Mining of Vancouver has selected Todd Dahlman as its COO. He has worked in the copper, molybdenum, gold and oil sands sectors. He is a graduate of the Montana School of Mineral Science and Technology and the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business.

The new VP exploration at Winnipeg’s Sand Gold Corp. is Michael Michaud. Most recently he held the same position at St Andrew Goldfields and has also been president and CEO of two junior mining companies.

Teck Resources of Vancouver has appointed Alex Christopher as VP exploration and Colin Joudrie to VP business development. Christopher has a BSc Honours degree from McMaster University and joined the company in 1984. Joudrie will also retain his other role as general manager of CESL.
