Vancouver-based Los Andes Copper named Antony Amberg its president and CEO. He is a geologist with a degree from the Royal School of Mines, London, has an MSc from University College and is also a chartered geologist with the Geological Society of London. He has close to 30 years of diverse experience.

Craig Stanley has been appointed to the board of Manitou Gold in Sudbury, ON. He holds an MSc in geology from the University of Western Ontario.

As Pretium Resources of Vancouver advances its Brucejack gold project to development in British Columbia, the company made a few changes to its management. Robert Quartermain is now chairman and CEO. The duties of president have been taken up by Joseph Ovsenek, who had been Pretium's executive VP. Michelle Romero becomes VP corporate. Last but not least, Kevin Torpy has been named general manager of the Brucejack mine.
