Major, a global manufacturer of wire screen media, will introduce its new OptimumWire Thermo Screen at CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2026. The product will be on display at Booth C32269 in the Las Vegas Convention Center's Central Hall. CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2026 attendees can visit Major's booth to learn more about the new Thermo Screen and the company's other screening solutions.
Major, a Haver and Boecker company, specializes in manufacturing wire screens for the aggregate, mining, and recycling industries. The company offers on-site screening performance assessments and training seminars on screen maintenance and efficiency.
The thermo screen is designed for extreme heat environments, capable of withstanding temperatures over 1,200 degrees Celsius (2,192 degrees Fahrenheit). This new technology aims to improve performance in applications such as asphalt recycling, hot clinker and quicklime screening, and mineral processing.
"Customers have relied on us for custom solutions to blinding and pegging problems for years. The Thermo Screen extends that expertise to high-heat applications, so operations can work with one trusted screen media provider across their entire site," Bernard Betts, president of Major, stated.
According to Major, the thermo screen addresses heat-related issues such as blinding, pegging, and clogging while creating a self-cleaning action. The company reports that an asphalt production plant experienced up to 35% higher throughput and 40% lower maintenance costs after implementing thermo screens on all decks.
The new screen uses Major's proprietary OptimumWire to connect wires, replacing the traditional polyurethane connections that can melt in high-heat environments. Major produces OptimumWire in-house to maintain consistent quality.
The OptimumWire Thermo Screen joins Major's existing product line, which includes Flex-Mat Tensioned, Flex-Mat Modular screen media, and traditional woven wire.
