BRITISH COLUMBIA – Westhaven Ventures of Vancouver recently completed a nine-hole drill program at its Ben property 50 km north of Williams Lake. The best intersection was 153.7 metres of 0.18% Ni and 0.010% Cu starting from the bedrock surface (hole N14-19).

Nor was that the only notable core section. Hole 16 cut 19.7 metres that averaged 0.28% Ni and 0.12% Co, again from a bedrock surface. Hole 22 cut 57.7 metres of 0.21% Ni and 0.011% Co, and hole 23 cut 106.6 metres of 0.18% Ni and 0.010% Co.

Westhaven says it believes the Ben property has district scale potential for nickel and cobalt. An there may be the potential to host a quartz-carbonate lode gold occurrence.

Since October 2013, Westhaven has drilled 23 totaling 2,610 metres. Drilling has indicated that there are large areas throughout the property that are underlain by nickeliferous serpentine with high nickel sulphide content and large thicknesses. Prior to this work there were no known nickel occurrences in this area.
