YUKON - Alexco Resource Corp. of Vancouver has announced the initial resource estimate for its Lucky Queen and Onek deposits, an estimate of over 12.8 million oz of silver. The deposits are located in the Keno Hill Silver District where Alexco has already begun rehabilitation of the historical Lucky Queen 500 level portal.

SRK Consulting added up the drill results. The Lucky Queen deposit hosts 124,000 tonnes grading 1,227 g/t Ag in the indicated category and 150,000 tonnes at 571 g/t Ag in the inferred category. The Onek deposit hosts 585,000 tonnes grading 194 g/t Ag of indicated resources and an inferred resource of 236,000 tonnes at 203 g/t. Both deposits also returned gold, lead and zinc values.

Alexco achieved commercial production in January 2011 at its nearby Bellekeno silver-lead-zinc mine and mill. Mining the Lucky Queen and Onek deposits would add flexibility and increase the lifetime of the Bellekeno project.

Alexco has posted a large gallery of photos from the Bellekeno project at www.AlexcoResource.com.
