BRITISH COLUMBIA – Huldra Silver of Vancouver says its mill at Merritt reached commercial production on March 26, 2013. In the first half of March, 92.58 dry metric tonnes of lead-silver concentrate and 131.24 dry metric tonnes of zinc concentrate were shipped to the smelter. From March 16 to March 31, an estimated 73 dry metric tonnes of lead-silver concentrate and 38 dry metric tonnes of zinc concentrate were shipped to the smelter.
The Merritt mill was shut down for five days in mid-March for a ball mill re-lining and other upgrades. Up-time and concentrate production continue to increase. Meanwhile, the company has begun to introduce higher grade feed to the mill.
The mill treats ore from Huldra's Treasure Mountain underground silver-zinc mine less than 30 km from Hope. More information about it is available at HuldraSilver.com.
