MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – KSB Pumps has announced a new family of valves for power plants and similar applications that are designed and manufactured to comply with ANSI/ASME standards. The newly available valves, called SICCA and ZTS, include gate valves, globe valves and check valves.

The valves are available in pressure classes up to ANSI Class 4500. Built from forged and cast steels that meet ASTM standards, these valves are designed for controlling the flow of boiler feed water, steam and condensate. Their nominal diameters range from 0.6 mm to 815 mm. Operating temperatures, depending on the material, can be as high as 650°C, and they are rated for pressures of up to 600 bar.

"This announcement is of particular significance to KSB Canada," remarked Dirk Ruppert, national business development manager for KSB Pumps. “While valves have been an important part of KSB’s international product portfolio, the DIN-standard valves have not been distributed in Canada. With the introduction of ANSI/ASME standard valves, we can now offer this important product line to our Canadian customers."

The availability of the new line of valves comes at the same time KSB Pumps announced the opening of its new office in Edmonton. The offices are located at 6902 82nd Ave NW, Edmonton, AB. Call 780-485-2420 or email dthompson@ksbcanada.com.
