ZEOLITE: Canadian Mining has 50,000-t/y permit for Bromley Creek

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-based Canadian Mining Co. has received a new five-year, 50,000-t/y quarry permit for its Bromley Creek zeolite mine lease near Princeton. The permit was issued by the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines, and it went into effect on July 21, 2015.

The company has also increased the reclamation bond and completed the preliminary field report on the potential archeological significance of the site.

Zeolite, is a natural inorganic, non-toxic porous volcanic mineral with a highly regular structure of pores and chambers. This material allows for "molecular sieving", absorption, ion exchange, dehydration and re-hydration of physical and chemical properties, according to Canadian Mining's website.

In preparation for mining, the company has prepared a new staging area and has stockpiled existing inventory for customer pick-up or delivery. Additional zeolite will be added to the stockpile as required.
