Or more precisely, Hatch was recognized with an Award of Excellence for the work it did at Gahcho Kue. The Montreal-based firm managed the full engineering, procurement, construction management contract for the mine and plant. Despite the challenge of the climate and the remote location, Hatch brought the project in safely two months ahead of schedule and under budget. “Our team is very proud to be recognized alongside our clients, De Beers and Mountain Province Diamonds, and our partners, JDS, for the achievements of this extraordinary project,” said Guy LeClair, project sponsor for Hatch. “The CCE Award of Excellence is a celebration of disciplined project management, the outstanding efforts of the individuals involved with this project, and the strong collaboration between our teams.” Visit www.Hatch.com to learn how high Hatch sets the bar not only for mining but for a wide range of other industries.
