BRITISH COLUMBIA - Toronto-based Seabridge Gold has released the first resource estimate from the Iron Cap zone at its 100% owned KSM project near Stewart. The company believes the indicated and inferred categories contain 8.5 million oz of gold and 3.0 billion lb of copper.

Specifically, the indicated resource (at 0.50 g/t Au) is 361.7 million tonnes grading 0.44 g/t Au, 0.21% Cu, 5.4 g/t Ag and 477 ppm Mo. The inferred resource includes 297.3 million tonnes grading 0.36 g/t Au, 0.20% Cu, 3.9 g/t Ag and 60 ppm Mo.

The Iron Cap zone is adjacent to the Mitchell deposit, estimated to have a measured resource of 659.7 million tonnes averaging 0.64 g/t Au and 0.17% Cu. Seabridge intends to complete a new global resource estimate for the KSM project, including the Mitchell, Sulphurets and Kerr deposits, shortly.
