(Image: Baffinland Iron Mines)[/caption] IQALUIT, Nunavut – Baffinland Iron Mines  the Qikiqtani Inui Association have signed an improved impact benefit agreement covering the company’s Mary River iron ore mine and concentrator near Pond Inlet. The new agreement enhances Inuit training and employment. Baffinland will boost its financial commitment to training and skills development, including a state-of-the-art training facility in Pond Inlet. Pre-employment training opportunities will be expanded. Finally, support for all residents of the Qikiqtani communities will be improved.
