ONTARIO – Nuinsco Resources of Toronto says that recent metallurgical testing of material from its Prairie Lake phosphorus-rare metals project indicate that a saleable phosphorus concentrate can be produced using conventional methods. The concentrate will be sold as a raw ingredient for the manufacture of fertilizer.

The Prairie Lake property lies about 45 km northwest of Marathon and covers the entire 2.8-km2 Prairie Lake Carbonatite Complex. The deposit holds an exploration target mineralization of between 515 million and 640 million tonnes grading between 0.09% and 0.11% Nb2O5 and 3.0% to 4.0% P2O5. The deposit contains other potentially economic minerals including tantalum, uranium and rare earth elements (lanthanum, cerium, samarium, neodymium and yttrium).
