ONTARIO – Northern Sun Mining of Toronto has temporarily suspended operations at its Redstone mill near Timmins. The shutdown, necessitated by the lack of ore deliveries and low inventory, is expected to last four to eight weeks.
The Redstone mill usually treats copper-platinum group metals ore from the Broken Hammer mine near Sudbury. The mine belongs to Wallbridge Mining Company. Although underground ore sources are exhausted, the open pit is expected to continue production into Q3 2015.
More information about the mine and mill are available on the companies' websites, WalbridgeMining.com and NorthernSunMining.ca.
